Expert Toddler Nutrition Course by Sanchita Daswani

When it comes to mealtimes . .

You want it to be a place where you create memories, spend time together, your child eats enough and has a variety of foods

But if we look at mealtimes with our kids today it is filled with . ..

Tantrums, forcing, stress, begging, distractions, crying and is no where close to being pleasant.

How did we get here?

You are watching other kids not chew their food, need constant distraction, eating the same thing everyday , and binging on junk.

And you want to make sure it doesn’t happen to your child!

Hi, I’m Sanchita.

I am a Child Nutritionist where I focus on guiding and empowering parents to confidently offer meals to their kids.

When my twins turned 6 months and I was going to start solids, I was super excited.

  • I read all the books
  • I followed all the accounts on social media
  • I spoke to my friends
  • I consulted my pediatrician
  • I took advice from everyone

But still.. I was super confused and overwhelmed, I would stay up till 4 am reading all this information and feeling even more nervous and agitated. I just had no idea what way to follow.

Baby led weaning, spoon feeding, responsive feeding, finger foods, purees-it was too much.

So I ended up just sticking to one book and following it.

I did all the wrong things:

  • I fed them rice cereal and packaged puffs- which led my son to end up having major gut issues
  • I fed them on a recline which was actually a choking hazard and not safe
  • I did not let them see food or touch it for a long time- which made them not like vegetables
  • I continued with formula for too long that led them to reject foods

It was only when my kids at 1.5 years just stopped eating everything that I had to look back and try and figure what happened.

I felt I had just blindly followed advice and I didn’t really understand why I was doing what I was doing.

I then started to study about child nutrition and understand what babies actually need and I was blown away.

I decided to get Certified and now as a consultant, I make sure that parents don’t make the same mistakes I did and that so many parents have to ensure that they set the right foundation for their child’s health and eating habits.

My toddler eats well, so I think everything is fine

Sometimes we think, "My toddler eats well, so I think everything is fine." But here’s something important to consider just because a toddler is eating doesn't always mean they’re getting the right nutrients or enough variety to support proper growth and development.

Toddlers don’t show immediate signs if something is lacking. Many nutritional gaps show up later — in low immunity, poor weight gain, fussiness with food, or picky eating habits as they grow older.

That’s why having a structured meal plan is so valuable. It ensures:

  • Balanced nutrition across the day and week
  • Right portions according to age and development
  • Proper introduction of textures and variety
  • A strong foundation for healthy eating habits in toddlerhood

It's not about just feeding; it's about feeding right — and that makes a big difference in your toddler’s long-term health and relationship with food.
